The City Clerk’s Office will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
The City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
Garbage collection will operate on a one-day delay, with pickup taking place on Tuesday.
Spring Valley City Clerk Rebecca Hansen announces that petitions for the Consolidated Election to be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2027, will be available beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Petitions may be picked up from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 215 North Greenwood Street, Spring Valley, Illinois. August 25 is the first day petitions may be circulated.

Maps will be available at the City Clerk’s Office beginning Wednesday, June 3.
Spring Valley City-Wide Garage Sales will be held Thursday, June 4 through Saturday, June 6, 2026.
It is free to be included on the garage sale map, and residents may participate one or more days. To be added to the map, please send your name, sale address, and the day(s) you would like to participate by Friday, May 29, 2026.
