Memorial Day Closing

The City Clerk’s Office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 for the Memorial Day holiday.

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Garbage pickup will be on a one-day-later basis.

Don’t Forget! City-Wide Garage Sales: June 4–6

Maps will be available at the City Clerk’s Office beginning Wednesday, June 3.

Spring Valley City-Wide Garage Sales will be held Thursday, June 4 through Saturday, June 6, 2026.

It is free to be included on the garage sale map, and residents may participate one or more days. To be added to the map, please send your name, sale address, and the day(s) you would like to participate by Friday, May 29, 2026.

Spring Valley Police Department’s National Night Out 2024

Spring Valley, IL – July 28, 2024 – The Spring Valley Police Department is excited to announce its annual National Night Out event at Kirby Park on Tuesday, August 6th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. This national community-building campaign promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

National Night Out is an annual event where communities across the country come together to connect with local law enforcement. The goal is to get neighborhoods actively involved in crime prevention and community building. The Spring Valley Police Department has organized a fun-filled evening with various activities and attractions for all ages.
