About Us

In 2019, the City of Spring Valley joined hundreds of other communities vying for the chance to be selected as HGTV’s Hometown Takeover winner. We were able to submit an application with photos, a video and a narrative that illustrated assets as well as issues and potential. Shown is just a small excerpt from our video entry that focuses on the needs and opportunities of portions of our downtown. 

 We are thankful to all who participated in the creation of our entry because the best part of this application was the support, leadership, investment and ultimately heart that was put forth in this endeavor! We are proud of Spring Valley and want to see it be restored and reinvigorated. Thanks to HGTV for providing this opportunity!
